The reasons for why we are Naturally The Best!!!

BARROWS offers many Single Estate Teas in its Round Unbleached Tea Bag product line, usually more costly than blends, with uncompromising flavor.

BARROWS imports all of its teas exclusively, cutting out a middleman company. This ensures that our teas are fresh, that we get a better selection, and that we are able to get better pricing.

BARROWS, in most cases, adds more tea in our tea bags than our competitors do. Through the years, most of our competitors began reducing the amount of tea that they put into their tea bag products. BARROWS has consistently kept using good amounts of tea, so as not to skimp; often this allows more drinkable tea to be made from our high quality tea products.

BARROWS manufactures its custom wide diameter Round Unbleached Tea Bag products to allow the dry tea leaves to have ample room to expand (often quadrupling) during the steep time in the boiling hot water. If any tea is not allowed enough room to expand during the steep time, then the potential flavor in that particular tea is reduced. Round Tea Bags have no nooks or crannies or corners for the tea leaves to get caught in during the steep time, providing a functional advantage to allow the tea leaves easy expansion.

BARROWS proudly uses Unbleached Tea Bag paper that makes for a clean tasting cup of tea and is best for the environment. Even though it is more costly than bleached tea bag paper, we insist on the best for our tea products.

BARROWS tea bag teas are fannings, which are finer cut teas specifically designed for use in tea bags. Some new tea companies are using large leaf teas in their tea bag products, stating that you get the convenience of a tea bag and a large leaf tea. The problem with using a large leaf tea in a tea bag is that there is not enough room for the large leaf tea to expand in the tea bag, reducing the potential flavor in that particular tea. Large leaf teas should only be used in a teapot & actually not even in a tea ball, where the tea ball will not allow for full expansion of the tea leaves during the steep time.
